Mulm Allridge (ムルム・オールリッジ, Murumu Ōrurijji?) was the Commander of the Holy Church's Paragons of Light during the age of the Liberators.

Appearance[]

Mulm was a middle-aged man with black hair parted on one side, and a monocle.

Personality[]

Mulm was a sociable person and frequently spoke in a casual tone, including with other high-ranking members of the Holy Church.

Like the rest of those from the church, Mulm was extremely devoted to serving their god Ehit.

Chronology[]

Mulm was among the highter ups within the Holy Church that took part in an important meeting to discuss their recent defeat at Andika by their newly discovered enemies, the Liberators. When Laus was being criticized by several of the other church's leaders, as having been the one who lead their forces that were defeated, Lilith spoke up in Laus' defense and apologized to him for their behavior, to which Laus expressed his indifference. Mulm tried to encourage Laus to more open when speaking up, to which replied with claiming that he would do his best on that front. That however, did not inspire confidence in Mulm since that was something Laus has frequently said to him. Cardinal Baran Distark then openly critized Laud for his defeat reflecting poorly on the church's reputation. Mulm tried to mediate between Baran and Laus, but the cardinal didn’t back down. Laus then admitted that he lost due to not possessing enough faith and was determined strengthen both his body and resolve for the future. Soon afterwards, Pope Lucifer Slaine Elbard arrived and presented with him a woman named Ainz Arsalk that he claimed was their god Ehit's chosen oracle. Ainz then proceeded to tell the leaders of the church about the members of the Liberators that were in possession of Ancient Magic, as well as revealing the location of one of the last remaining within the beastman nation, the Haltina Republic that was located in Pale Forest. Lucifer then ordered the church to wage war on the republic in order to capture the Ancient Magic user and bring them to their cathedral.

Relationships[]

Ehit[]

Mulm was absolutely devoted to serving Ehit.

Laus Barn[]

Mulm greatly respected Laus at first. The two of them had a more casual relationship due to the many years they have served the Holy Church together. Although Mulm believed that they were friends, Laus, however, had never confided his true feelings about the church to Mulm. After Laus defected from the church, Mulm greatly despised him for faking his loyalty towards Ehit during their tenure as knights, and vowed to personally kill him, even if it went against the pope's orders.

Adra[]

Mulm's dragon mount.

Miledi Reisen[]

Mulm utterly despised Miledi due to her being a heretic of the Holy Church, as well as someone who was capable of standing on equal footing with Laus (who is considered the church's strongest warrior).

Vandre Schnee[]

Mulm had developed a fierce one-sided rivalry with Vandre due to the latter's incredible skill at subjugating monsters and empowering them.

Quotes[]

  • (To Lilith): "Laus cannot be brainwashed. Such spells don’t work on him. In other words, the Liberators didn’t brainwash him. From the very start, Laus has been carrying the seeds of heresy with him. He feigned piety while trampling all over Lord Ehit’s eminence. When he was talking to me, when we fought together on the battlefield, he was always plotting this betrayal! It’s despicable. I won’t ever forgive him for it! This whole time, we respected and befriended a heretic! How could he do something so cruel to us?! We were always dancing on Laus Barn’s palm! Isn’t that right, Commander Lilith?!"[1]
