Kana Yokoyama (横（よこ）山（やま）加（か）奈（な）, Yokoyama Kana^?) is one of the students from Japan who got involved in the Summoning Incident, and ended up in Tortus along with her other classmates.

Kana is a girl with short hair.

Kana enjoys spending most of her free time training at the boxing gym.

Despite her tough and manly persona, Kana is actually quite feminine deep down.

Chronology

One day during her second year of high school, Kana and her entire class was summoned to Tortus by its god Ehit in order to help humanity's war against the demons. He and his classmates trained in the Heiligh Kingdom for two weeks, under the supervision of Knight Commander Meld Loggins, before they traveled to the Great Orcus Labyrinth, in order to fight the monsters that dwelled inside it until they were strong enough to fight the demons. During their first trip the the Labyrinth, they were all transported to the 65th floor due to a trap that was accidentally set off by Daisuke Hiyama. It was there that they were all surrounded by an army of skeletal Traum Soldiers on one side, and a Behemoth on the other. After a fierce battle, almost everyone managed to escape, but Kana's classmate Hajime Nagumo was believed to have been killed when he fell off the bridge the Behemoth stood on, after he helped keep it at bay in order for the rest of his class to escape. This ordeal had severely effected the remaining students' morale, with Kana among those who ceased their training and confined themselves within the kingdom.

Kana has been friends with the two of them since middle school. She is exasperated with having to deal with their antics with regards to their obsession with Hajime.

Kana has a crush on Yuka, but is too afraid to confess her feelings.

Physical Abilities

• Enhanced Physical Abilities - As one of Ehit's summoned heroes, Kana was blessed with superhuman physical abilities.
• Expert Combatant - Kana is highly skilled in close combat. Before being summoned to Tortus, she spend most of her free time training at the boxing gym.

• Close Quarters Combat Proficiency (格闘術, Kakutō-jutsu^?) - Allows the user to be proficient at close quarter combat.
• Language Comprehension (言語理解, Gengo Rikai^?) - A base skill granted to all those who got summoned. It gives the user the ability to understand any language and be proficient in it.

Weapons & Equipment

• CheatMate (チートメイト, Chītomeito^?) - A food-type artifact comprised of nutritional minerals, such as calcium and iron, that are enchanted with metamorphosis and evolution magic. They are then turned into powder and transmuted to became a solid food block. Once consumed, it raises a person's base stats and increases their body's sturdiness.
• Last Seele (ラスト・ゼーレ, Rasuto Zēre^?) - A necklace artifact with a small crimson red gem orb that Hajime made for everyone who participated in Ragnarok. It bestows its wearer the skill "Limit Break," as well as its derivative skill "Overload."

Etymology

• The name "Kana" means "increase" (加, ka^?) and "奈" (na) as a phonetic character.
• Kana's surname "Yokoyama" means "sideways, horizontal next, width" (横, yoko^?) and "mountain" (山, yama^?).
