Jugo Nagayama (ながやまじゅう, Nagayama Jūgo?) is one of the students from Japan who got involved in the Summoning Incident, and ended up in Tortus along with his other classmates. He is friends with Kentarou Nomura and Kousuke Endou.

Appearance

His is almost as tall as Ryutarou Sakagami and has a similar burly physique as him.

Personality

Despite being one of the vanguards, Jugo tends to be cautious with his actions. He is very valorous as he demonstrated when he defended his comrades from Cattleya's army of monsters.

Chronology

One day during his second year of high school, Jugo and his entire class was summoned to Tortus by its god Ehit in order to help humanity's war against the Demons. He and his classmates trained in the Heiligh Kingdom for two weeks, under the supervision of Knight Commander Meld Loggins, before they traveled to the Great Orcus Labyrinth, in order to fight the monsters that dwelled inside it until they were strong enough to fight the demons. During their first trip the the Labyrinth, they were all transported to the 65th floor due to a trap that was accidentally set off by Daisuke Hiyama. It was there that they were all surrounded by an army of skeletal Traum Soldiers on one side, and a Behemoth on the other. After a fierce battle, almost everyone managed to escape, but Jugo's classmate Hajime Nagumo was believed to have been killed when he fell off the bridge the Behemoth stood on, after he helped keep it at bay in order for the rest of his class to escape. This ordeal had severely affected the remaining students' morale, but Jugo was among those who resumed their training in the Great Orcus Labyrinth.

Relationships

Kousuke Endou

One of Jugo's oldest friends and a member of his party. Even though he has known Kousuke for ages, he still can't perceive him, and tends to forget about his existence even though he is near him. He trusts Kousuke's judgement in various matters as seen when Kousuke urged caution before they were ambushed by Cattleya. Despite tending to forget him at times, he is very close and loyal to him as was shown when he and Kentarou Nomura immediately rushed to his aid and helped Bernard Pace so Kousuke could aid Claudia Barenberg.

Kentarou Nomura

One of Jugo's oldest friends and a member of his party. He is close to him and likes teasing him about his crush on Ayako Tsuji, much to Kentarou's annoyance.

Mao Yoshino

A member of his party.

Ayako Tsuji

A member of his party.

Hajime Nagumo

Like most males classmates, Jugo is jealous of Hajime's popularity due to the constant attention he received from Kaori Shirasaki. However, like most of his classmates, Jugo is terrified of Hajime for his newfound ruthlessness and monstrous strength after he returns and he kills Cattleya. Like most of his classmates, Jugo took Hajime's warning that he will kill anyone who crosses him even his own classmates seriously due to him not wanting to die at his hands which is intensified when Hajime murdered Daisuke Hiyama for his betrayal.
