"JobS" (天（てん）職（しょく）, Tenshoku^?) is a term used to define the natural aptitude of a person in Tortus. Jobs are directly linked to the type of skills a person can know or learn, although people without a job can still obtain skills, but are typical not as abundant.

All jobs were classifications made by the Holy Church, so the only time new jobs were added to the list of known jobs was when someone accomplished great deeds in a new field that didn't already have a job assigned to it.

Jobs are split into two disciplines: combat and non-combat. Combat jobs being exceedingly rare, while non-combat oriented jobs are somewhat rare.

Trivia

• The job "Arabian Kirito" may be based off of Kazuto Kirigaya (a.k.a. Kirito), the male protagonist from Sword Art Online, who is known to fight using two swords.
• Shizuku Yaegashi believes that in addition to his Synergist job, Hajime Nagumo also possesses another job: "Gunner" (ガンナー, Gannā^?) - A yet-to-be known combat job which focuses on guns and firearms.
• According to Vandre Schnee, due to his job "Artist," martial arts falls under the category of art and enables him to master various combat techniques, much to the other Liberators' bewilderment.
  • This hints that the abilities and skills that one can master within their given job is not limited to the typical fields associated with their given job, but to rather whatever the job holder believes to fall within their job's category.
• Miledi Reisen classifies her job as "Astonishingly Beautiful Genius Sorceress" (超（ちょう）絶（ぜつ）天（てん）才（さい）美（び）少（しょう）女（じょ）魔（ま）法（ほう）使（つ）い, Chōzetsu Tensai Bishōjo Mahōtsukai^?).
• In the Arifureta Zero short story "How Status Plates Were Made," when Oscar was first testing out his Status Plate artifact, Corrin was shown to have the job "Saint" (聖（せい）母（ぼ）, Seibo^?), and Diene Devault "Don" (首（しゅ）領（りょう）, Shuryō^?). It is unknown if these are actual jobs, however thousands of years later, Myu had been designated by Uruluk as the Saint of her generation.
