Altina Heipyst (アルテナ・ハイピスト, Arutena Haipisuto?) is the granddaughter of Verbergen's Chief Elder Ulfric, thus effectively making her status on the same level as a princess.
Appearance
Altina is a beautiful young woman with jade-green eyes, and long blonde hair and pointed ears.
Personality
At first, Altina acts like a proper woman, as befitting the granddaughter of Verbergen's chief. Over time, however, she develops into a masochist after attempting to get Shea's attention by flirting with Hajime.
Due to her sheltered upbringing, Altina was constantly lonely due never having interacted with anyone that treated her as an equal and did not give special treatment towards.
Despite her status a princess, Altina is very determined and will not hesitate to offer what support she can.
Background
Altina was born in the beastman nation Verbergen. Throughout her life, she has had a sheltered and well-educated upbringing. Altina has had many suitors as a result of her pedigree, but she would turn them all down so that she could focus on inheriting her grandfather Ulfric’s position as chief elder, and devoted herself to serving Verbergen.
Chronology
Altina was among the beastmen that had been captured by the Hoelscher Empire after both it and Verbergen had suffered an attack by demons. As she and other beastmen prisoners were being transported away to become slaves for the empire, they were saved when members of the Haulia Tribe attacked the slave convoy and killed all the soldiers. It was during that time that Hajime Nagumo and his companions saw the altercation through his flying ship "Fernir" and approached them after the fight. After Hajime and the Haulia Tribe were reunited after their first encounter, Altina approached Hajime in order to confirm his identity based on what she had heard of him from her grandfather Ulfric, and that he wouldn't treat them as slaves. Once both Altina and Hajime introduced themselves, Hajime decided too transport the captured beastmen back to the Sea of Trees asap in order to confirm that the Demons hadn't destroyed the Grand Tree Uralt that contained the Great Labyrinth where he had planned to explore. As everyone was headed towards Hajime's ship, Altina had tripped due to the shackles that bonded her and had attempted to land on Hajime's back, but he moved out of the way which lead her to falling on the ground. Rather than offering to help Altina, Hajime just curtly told her to get bak up or risk being left behind. This response had earned him the condemnation from most of companions for his rude behaviour (with the exception of Yue and Tio, with whom the later actually requested him to step on her due to her perverted nature). Hajime decided to then help Altina by using his transmutation magic to release her shackles and neck collar, much to her shock, and then turned them into keys to free the other captured beastmen.
As Hajime was transporting everyone on Fenrir, Altina's attendant (who had also been captured by the empire) expressed her concerns as to whether the beastman could trust him, but Altina expressed her belief that he would not mistreat them for being beastmen based on his personality exactly what her grandfather had previously described to her, as well as the fact that trusting him was their only option. She even went so far as to declare that she would offer herself to Hajime if it came down to it. girls. Altina then asked if men liked to step on women as some sort of sexual fetish after remembering Tio's previous remark He attendant immediately brushed off the idea and barbaric and attempted to eliminate those thoughts from Altina's mind, but she only expressed her curiosity at to how to sexually gratify someone in such a manner (even going so far as to consider asking Tio for advice).
When they reached the Sea of Trees, Altina and the other beastmen guided everyone through the thick fog that surrounded it after Hajime's companion Kaori inadvertently removed their pathway to Verbergen by using her restoration magic to restore all the damaged tress from the attacks by the Demons and empire, which also served as a route to the beastmen nation. An hour after walking, they suddenly came across a group of tigermen on patrol. Their leader, Gil, recognized Hajime from their previous encounter during Hajime's journey, and soon after saw that Altina was among the beastmen that was accompanying him. Once Gil confirmed Altina's safety, everyone continued their journey to Verbergen. Once they all reached their destination, Altina was reunited with her grandfather Ulfric as the two of them hugged each other in an emotional and tearful display of affection. As thanks for all Hajime and his companions had done for Verbergen, Ulfric offered to let them stay with him at his home during their visit, to which they accepted. As they were making their way to Ulfric's home, Altine attempted tog grab Hajime's hand, but was stopped by his companion Shea Haulia and the two of them broke into a staring contest until they reached their destination. Once everyone settled down, Hajime was soon approached by members of the Haulia Tribe to tell him that several of their members, including Shea's father and chief of the tribe Cam, had been captured by the Hoelscher Empire. Hearing this news, Hajime decided to venture for a rescue them for Shea's sake, to which Altina expressed her jealousy at her.
During Verbergen's reconstruction, Altina was busy helping her grandfather managing all of the relevant tasks. During that time, Cam had reported them that Hajime had rescued the captured Haulia Tribe members, and they managed to get their revenge against the empire by attacking the imperial family during an important formal gathering, which ended with the complete defeat of its ruler Gahard D. Hoelscher, and him accepting the Haulia's demands of ending the enslavement of all beastmen throughout the empire. Ulfric was concerned about Altina's wellbeing after having been recently kidnapped, but she insisted on doing all that she could to help her fellow beastmen. Ulfric sensed that that something was troubling his granddaughter and advised her to speak to Cam about it, but Altina immediately rejected the notion that she was concerned about Hajime despite Cam not having mentioned him once. Suspected that Altina had romantic feelings towards Hajime, Ulfric tried to convince her that he would not be a good match for her, but she insisted hat she was not interested in him. As she was about to leave the room, Cam called out to her and advised her that Hajime was only in love with Yue, and that only his daughter Shea was the only other girl with a chance to become someone that he would consider special. This was all an attempt by Cam to get Hajime to fall for his daughter by provoking Altina into becoming more aggressive in her advances with Hajime, and force Shea to respond in a more romantically aggressive way. Moments later, Hajime and his companion returned to Verbergen on Fenrir, and had brought Emperor Gahard with them (while in disguise to keep him safe from the other beastmen that would want to kill him) in order to confirm his pledge of ending the enslaving of all beastmen in the empire to Verbergen's elders. Ulfirc and Altina quickly escorted everyone into the conference room in order to avoid any incidents. As they made their way, Altina continued her attempts to flirt with Hajime, but was stopped by Shea once more and the two continued to stare each other down. Hajime managed to end it by explicitly paying more attention to Shea and letting her hug his arm as they made their way (much to Altina's dismay). After the meeting between Gahard and Verbergen's elders, Altina continued her efforts to flirt with Hajime during his stay in Verbergen, but was stopped every time by Shea.
When Hajime and his companions had completed the Haltina Labyrinth inside the Sea of Trees and returned to Verbergen, Altina made another attempt to become more intimate with him in the dining hall of their accommodations. Having become fed up with her actions, Shea restrained the young elf and bombarded with and array of wrestlings moves. To everyone's surprise, however, Altina did not try to resistant and had actually seemed to be enjoying Shea's humiliating treatment of her. Hajime eventually approached Shea and told her that she was the only one out of the two that was special to him, and that Altina seemed to more interested in her instead. After Shea had gotten over the shock of Hajime's sudden confession, Altina revealed that the true reason for her advances towards him was to get Shea's attention and have her continue her physical abuse. Shea immediately accused Altina of being a pervert, but the young elf explained that she wanted Shea's attention due to having finally met someone that was not intimidated by her status as princess, and that she hoped to becomes friends with her as a result. Shea felt exasperated by Altina bizarre rational, but agreed to become her friend as the two shook hands. It was then that Altina resumed her masochistic behaviour and begged Shea to continue degrading her. Shea was overwhelmed by Altina's demands and dashed out of the room in order to get away from her, but Altina chased after her throughout the rest of the day.
When Hajime and Shea were about to spend their first night together as a couple, Altina and several female rabbitmen from the Haulia Tribe others tried to intervene in the hopes that Hajime would let them join as well (In Altina's case, she wanted to be with Shea). Their efforts, however, were thwarted by Yue, as she managed to hold them off with her magic while giving Hajime and Shea the time to be together without any distractions.
Soon after Hajime's group left Verbergen, Altina snuck in the Haulia Tribe's territory in order to sneak a peak at some of Shea stuff after shea and her friends left Verbergen. However, Altina was caught by Cam and severely punished throughout constant whipping. Altina rather enjoyed being tortured as was begging Cam for more. Unbeknownst to them, the ordeal was seen by Shea and the others when Hajime tested out his concept magic artifact, the "Crystal Key," and opened a portal to the where they were by accident. When the two of them saw that they we being watched, they attempted to explain their actions, but Shea was so enraged by what she witnessed that she fired an exploding round from her warhammer "Drucken." Hajime then closed the portal while hearing the two of them scream from Shea's attack.
When the self-styled good Ehit was preparing to wipe out all life on Tortus, Altina was among the beastmen that had joined the other nations that were planning to fight back. Surprisingly, she was acting as Cam's personal attendant.
Relationships
Ulfric Heipyst
Altina and Ulfric love each other very much, but he is troubled by her recent fetishes. It had gotten to a point where he wats Shea to succeed him as Verberen's next ruler over Altina.
Shea Haulia
Altina considers Shea to be her first real friend and enjoys when Shea assaults her with various wrestling moves. Shea, in turn, is disturbed by Altina's constant desire to be toyed with by her.
= Cam Haulia
Cam initially uses Altina as a means to get Hajime to fall in love with his daughter Shea. Overtime, the two would form as master-servert like relationship where Cam would restrain Altina, much to her delight. After Shea went to Earth, she shifted her interest towards Cam, and tried to become his second wife.
Hajime Nagumo
Altina is very interested in Hajime due to being the first person who does not treat her like a princess, as compared to most people. She has made repeated attempts to flirt with him to get his attention, she is rejected every time by either him or Shea.
Tio Klarus
Tio considers Altina to be a kindred spirit due to their similar perverted natures.
