After the war against the self-styled god Ehit, she accompanied Kouki Amanogawa while he was eliminating Ehit's remaining forces that survived the battle.

Background[]

Delaney was born into the family of a viscount in the Heiligh Kingdom and lived in a mansion that was located northwest of the capital. Eventually, she enlisted into the kingdom's army, and was assigned to the royal guard for Princess Liliana.

Chronology[]

When the heroes of Earth were summoned by Ehit to aid humanity in their war against the demons, Delaney was assigned to be an instructor for the female members. During a training exercise, one of the female students accidental hit her with a spell that caused her to hurt her ankle. Delaney tried to play off her injury as nothing serious while heading to the infirmary, but Shizuku Yaegashi came to her aid and carried her off. Delaney was so touched by her kindness that she dedicated herself to spending as much time with Shizuku as possible. She and a bunch of other female attendants within the kingdom began to fight with one and other over who would get the honor being able to stay by Shizuku's side. In the end, they founded the "Soul Sisters" wth the hopes of being as close to Shizuku as possible. She also began chronicling Shizuku's daily life in order to leave behind an accurate record of her for future generations to enjoy.

When Emperor Gahard D. Hoelscher visited the kingdom, Delaney attempted to curse him by giving him athlete's foot, after he had proposed to Shizuku. Soon after, she was severally pushed by Captain Kuzeli Reil, for having almost started a war with the Hoelscher Empire through her actions.

When Delaney's grandfather passed away, she was instructed to return to her family's estate. At first, she did not to want leave due to her desire to be near Shizuku, but she was taken back by her brother, who drugged and carted her home. Coincidentally, the kingdom was invaded by the demons soon after, which resulted in the deaths of King Eliheid and many knights due to the treachery of Eri Nakamura. As a result of having been away during the incident, Delaney was spared.

When the self-styled god Ehit was preparing to wipe out all life on Tortus, Delaney was among the allied forces were prepared to fight back. The night before the battle, she tearfully embraced Shizuku and proceed to sniff her after having been separated from her for several months. Shizuku was disturbed by her actions and immediately asked Hajime Nagumo to help separate Delaney from her. Delaney removed her face from Shizuku’s bosom and glared at Hajime due to Shizuku apparent closeness to her after having addressed hm by his first name. In response, Hajime ordered several members of the Haulia Tribe rabbitmen to eliminate her. Eager to demonstrate her might, Delaney tried to cast a dark magic spell on them, but she was unable to best the rabbitmen, but she did survive.

The next day, Delanney and the rest of Tortus' forces fought against Ehit's army of apostles. The allied forces were eventually victorious when Hajime killed Ehit.

Sometime after the battle against Ehit, Delaney was assigned to accompany Kouki Amanogawa, who wished to eliminate the remnants of Ehit's forces to make up for having fought against his classmate during the battle. When Shizuku, Hajime and their families visited Tortus during Earth's winter holidays, Delaney abandoned her duties and frantically returned to the capital in order to visit Shizuku once more, but she was immediately teleported back to Kouki by Hajime. Several days later, Delaney caught up to Shizuku once more after she and her family finished visiting the Dragonman Village, but they nervously teleported to the Hoelscher Empire before she could reach her.

One year since Kouki and his classmates were first summoned to Tortus, Delaney accompanied him on a monster subjugation quest to eliminate a cotriss near the Reisen Gorge. Once the initial task had been completed, they discovered the presence of an ash dragon. Despite this unexpected development, Kouki managed to defeat it. Afterwards the two of them travelled to Brooke Town and visited the Masaka Inn to recuperate. As they entered the inn, The innkeeper's daughter Sona approached them without either of them having noticed her beforehand, much to their shock, and was preparing to take their orders. Sona stealthy entrance prompted the female knight to ask her if she had any previous special training in espionage, to which Sona denied in a puzzled tone. After taking their orders, Sona immediately left without either of them managing to sense her presence once again. After Delaney and Kouki finished their meal, Sona came by to collect their dishes, but she dropped her Status Plate as she left. Seeing as it had already been activated, the two of them couldn't help but glance over it to view what kind of skills she had, and were immediately dumbfounded to see a wide array of skills that would normally be associated with a spy. Just then, Sona approached them once more, without them sensing her, and managed to take back her Status Plate before they saw her. She then thanked them for holding on to it while she left it by accident, but then scolded them for looking at it without her permission, to which they both apologized to her.
