"The Beginning" (始まり, Hajimari?) is the prologue chapter of Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest (ありふれた職業で世界最強, Arifureta Shokugyō de Sekai Saikyō?) manga adaptation. It was released on February 5, 2016 on "Overlap:Comic Gardo" Online Publication.
Summary
A boy desperately runs away from a huge monster which is chasing after it on a stone bridge. A man while telling the boy to run faster, calls for everyone to chant their spells to support the boy's escape. While others keep a horde of monsters at bay, the boy keeps running towards safety. The spells are fired and hit the huge monster as the boy keeps on running, but suddenly a spells hits the boy mid run, making him lose his balance. The huge monster finally catches up to the boy and attacks, breaking away the stone bridge. The boy falls into the abyss, while extending his hand, hoping someone would save him; while a girl extends her hand in hope of saving the boy.
