With the battle at the capital settled, Hajime’s next destination is the Empire. Together with Liliana and Kouki, he takes to the skies with his newly built airship—only to discover that the Haulia have been fighting against both the empire and the demons, and that Verbergen has been sacked. Suddenly, Hajime has a new reason to head to Hoelscher’s capital!

- This volume's release date in Japan is the same as the original release date for Volume 1 of Arifureta Zero, before it was pushed back by three days.
- The backstory behind the creation of Hajime's "Arachnae" golem artifacts is later explored in the 2nd Season Blu-ray Short Story "Remnants of Myth and the Maiden of the Lake". Furthermore, Liliana initially sees Hajime's spider golem in this novel, but this would later be retconned in the short story, to which she first saw it shortly before the events in this volume occur.
- All the English titles for this novel's chapters, as well as Japanese titles for chapters two to four, are the same titles for the first four episode of Season Three of the Anime.
- The bonus short story "Even Though I'm the Princess" is later adapted into the picture drama "The Kingdom's Head Maid is Excellent!".
