Trivia[]
- When Hajime first sees his stats, he thinks about how is power is not over 9,000. This is a reference to a meme from Dragon Ball Z.
- When the students first explore the Great Orcus Labyrinth, Shizuku jokingly tells Kaori that it is wrong to pick up guys in a dungeon while the latter is looking at Hajime. This is a reference to the series Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?.
- When Hajime tells Yue he wants to bathe alone in the hot spring at Oscar Orcus' lair, to which she responds by saying "...But I refuse," Hajime makes a reference to JoJo's Bizarre Adventure due to her response being the same as Rohan Kishibe from the series.
- A comparison is made of Hajime's fondness to the Divinity Stone with Chuck Noland's attachment to "Wilson the volleyball" from the movie Cast Away.
- The line "Be still, my sealed left arm!" is based on the series Silence! My Left Arm (This Light Novel is Amazing!) (しずまれ!俺の左腕 (このライトノベルがすごい!文庫), Shizu Mare! Ore no Hidariude (Kono Raito Noberu ga Sugoi! Bunko)?).
- The heat knuckle that Hajime makes for his prosthetic arm in the short story "A Man's Dream" is based on the God Gundam's special attack "Bakunetsu God Finger" in Mobile Fighter G Gundam.
- The titles for chapters two, three and four of this novel are the same titles for Episodes one, three and four of Season One of the Anime.
- In episode 1 of Loner Life in Another World, the series' protagonist Haruka is reading this novel just before he and his classmates are summoned to another world.
